Scenario and units design by Alex The Magnificent
"Colonization" cities design by Captain Nemo

In the middle of XVI century the English and French colonies in North America are expanding
toward eachother. Only the waters of Ohaio and St. Lawrence rivers was a weak barrier separated
the two Monarchies from direct military conflict. The shadow of War looms over the Great Lakes.
Deep in this wilderness hundreds of redskin warriors are silently wating for moment,
when hated paleface will begin to extermination each other.
PLAYERS:
GREAT BRITAIN
(protagonist)
This scenario is optimized for the British
You can also play as France or Amerindians,
but the mission becomes impossible and for France,
the game will be too easy; for Indians it will be too difficult.

Pioneer's life on he British-French colonial frontier
FRANCE
It is a side defender (AI player). Her main stronghold is a Quebec-city, a major objective of this war.
INDIAN TRIBES:
Here use one of the four tribes designed from the main "Indian Wars" project
HURON
They are France's allies and from the first moment to end of the
game, and are as well at war with the English colonies. In the second phase of the
war, they will obtain muskets from the French and will produce
dangerous war parties.
IROQUOIS
They are a neutral tribe. Both sides (British and French) can ally
with them.
The Iroquois and the Huron have always hated each other. In this game they
are frequently at war.
The Indians in this game are primitive civs; they can build
nothing and their teepees have no names and can not grow more
then size 4 (exception - Indian "capitals").
However, they have a movement bonus
and can quickly move through the wilderness, ignoring zones of control.
Huron are superior to the Iroquois; they have more villages,
more warriors, and more arms-power.
CITIES
The nice new colonization cities design (walled and unwalled)
was created for this game by te Captain Nemo
(my great gratitude!).
Walled cities are forts and blockhouses. All sides can build new cities.
EXPLORATION
This is an interesting part of the game. If You play as the English Colonies (strongly recommended), in the first turn, you can see the entire map of the Great Lakes but not the Indian villages and secret French blockhouses, which are all hidden. You will need to use scouts or your supporting Iroquois war squads to explore nearby areas. Note: do not use the «reveal map» option in «Cheat» mode - this cancels the effect of exploration!

Map of the scenario. In this game was used a "small" map
Trade:
In this war-game, there is no trade or caravans.
Wonders:
All wonders play a supporting role and have already been built.
Technologies:
There is no technology tree. Some sides will get special technologies
during the game from «events», but there is none to be researched.
WAR AND SIEGE
This game is quick, but hot and hard war with an aim: capture Quebec! French and English colonies occupied no more than 1/3 of map, the rest is wilderness with hidden indian villages
(most around the Great Lakes); the battlefield is not big. All of the cities are placed along the Ohio and St. Lawrence rivers. You may be sure that during first 4 turns almost all of your troops will be in
combat and 1/3 of all Europian cities will be sieged. In the beginning of the game, the English are the defenders. You must protect your forts because in the first phase of game, British colonies
can only produce militia. Regular troops can be trained when the new British Commander in Chief, general Volfe arrives. Then You must to capture the line of French forts and open the road to
their strongholds: Montreal and Quebec-city.
This will not be easy because each of the French forts is protected with powerful fort-cannons
(they can not leave the fort walls); this is a siege game. Your troops will die by the hundreds under this terrible fort-cannon fire until you get enough mortars with a high defense bonus. These are very dangerous units a single one can resist fort cannons and protect Your troopers during siege, but requires much more shields to be produced. You must to improve your economy to have any possibility of building more mortars.

His complete name was Louis Joseph De Montcalm-Gozon.You will first meet him somewhere
on the battlefield.Being wounded, he moved to Quebec, where you will find him again.

They appear only three time:
First: after the fort William-Henry sarrender - Colonel Munroe
Second : in the middle of game - General Braddock with reinforcements.
Third : at the top of game - General James Volfe
Once being killed they can not return. Historically, all of these officers were killed during the war
(Braddock was mortaly wounded in ambush, De-Montcalm and James Volfe both were killed in the Quebec siege)
The heroes of the F. Coopers books:
Natty Bumppo (Long Gun)
Tom Hunter and his «Arc» - floating house (Very good explorer)
Duncan Hayword - commander of rescuing platoon.
Colonel Munroes daughter.
Unkas (same of indian warrior but with small cross on the body)
Other special units:
Indian Chief - only one in every teepee. Kill him and sell his scalp.
Bear - kill him and sell his fur. But he can kill You first.
Bear hunting - very profitable but very dangerously business
MISSION, ADVENTURES !
There is one great mission in this game based on the F. Cooper novel: «The Last Of the Mohican» which from her own side was based on real history events - the fort William-Henry siege.
This is one of the strongests moments in game (see screenshot on main page of this site). You will realy see how the British soldiers fell down under Huron tomahawks. When the commander of the garrison, Colonel Munroe, and his men
are killed, the mission begins. You must protect and escort his helpless daughter to the nearest British fort through the wilderness, pass by Indian ambushes, and hidden French blockhouses. To complete this mission, you will have: Natty Bumppo, Unkas, Duncan Hayword with small platoon of regular army and Tom Hunter with his «Arc» in reserve (all at different points of map).
If Indians kill the girl - the mission is failed. If the French capture her, you have
another chance - to liberate this pretty women from Quebec headquarters.
Be brave, friends! Go play the game! Test your power in a real adventure!
